How You Can Help
The Cancer Prevention and Treatment Fund and the National Research Center for Women & Families has been designated as one of America’s best charities because we are audited every year and keep our fundraising costs and administrative costs extremely low – less than 3%! That means that your donation is spent on programs to help adults and children, not on mailings, advertisements, or fancy events.
New research is being completed every week and expert opinions change frequently. We scrutinize all of it and find out what prevention strategies and treatments are best, and for whom. We accept NO funding from drug companies or other sources that could influence our work and compromise our integrity. That’s why so many people turn to us when they need help.
We can be independent of bias and corporate influence because most of our funding comes from individual donations. We hope you will add us to your list of favorite charities, by making a donation to either the Cancer Prevention and Treatment Fund or the National Research Center for Women & Families. Your tax-free donation will enable us to do more to help people across the country reduce their chances of getting cancer and other diseases and get safer, more effective treatments. Contributions can be made by check or online.

If you contribute to the Combined Federal Campaign, you can support our work by contributing to # 11967.
If you contribute to United Way, please ask your local United Way if you can designate our charity by writing in our organization’s name. Our CFC number will not work for United Way.
Want to learn more about us? All our financial information is available on www.guidestar.org. We’re not listed in Charity Navigator yet, but have submitted all our information to them and hope to be listed soon. Meanwhile, you can learn more about us by reading our annual report.
Levels of Giving
Donations of any size are welcome. Donors making a contribution of $25 or more will receive a complimentary copy of our new book, Survival Guide for Working Moms (and Other Stressed Out Adults), which covers everything from caring for an elderly parent to monitoring kids on the Internet. We will mail a copy of this valuable resource to you or someone you love when we receive your donation.
Your support makes a difference! Here are some examples of how you might want to designate your donations – but if you have other ideas, just let us know:
- $5,000 can be a “Legacy” gift to pay for a one-semester Fellowship named in honor of someone whose legacy you’d like us to continue. For example, you can honor a loved one who died from cancer with a Fellowship named after him or her that helps improve treatment for cancer patients.
- $2,500 can support our work with doctors across the country to improve the medical treatment of children and adults.
- $1,000 can support our efforts to keep dangerous chemicals and products off store shelves and away from our families.
- $ 100 – $250 will help us keep dangerous prescription drugs and medical devices off the market.
- $ 40-$100 can support our Online Health Hotline, providing individual assistance to everyone with medical and prevention questions, for at least one day.
Making a donation through our secure server is fast and easy, and when we receive your donation, we will send you an acknowledgement in the mail for tax purposes. If you’d like the donation to honor someone, we can send an acknowledgement to that person as well! Click the button below to make a donation using your credit card, or send a check to the address below. If you donate online, you can designate the donation for the Cancer Prevention and Treatment Fund, or you can pick another health topic if you prefer.
Thank you for your support!
[Please note: We use a nonprofit service to process our credit card transactions. LOC IND CH ORG is the name that will appear on your credit card statement - not The Cancer Prevention and Treatment Fund. Using that service keeps our costs low so we can use your donation to help adults and children across the country!]
Or, to make a donation by check, please make your check payable to either the Cancer Prevention and Treatment Fund or the National Research Center for Women & Families. Please send your donation to:

Your generous donation of $100 or more will enroll you in our Circle of Friends. Contributions of $250 or more will enroll you in our Leadership Circle. Donations of $1,000 or more will enroll you in the President’s Circle.
